Hi, Aline and Laurent here! We launched Norma Music in 2021 after gaining our music industry experience in London across several years. We worked in both the major and independent scenes, specialising in project management, fan engagement, distribution and release marketing.
Aline started off in 2014 by joining PIAS in the royalties department of the Artist and Label services division, gaining insights into the complex and essential world of copyright, licensing and distribution. She reported royalties to labels like Ninja Tune, City Slang, Full Time Hobby and Sub Pop. After that, her career progressed and she eventually joined Distiller Records' Marketing department, where she worked closely with diverse artists like Anteros, The Ninth Wave, Holy Oysters and Bloody Knees on some impactful campaigns, seeing them played on radios like BBC Radio 1 and Radio X, hit stages at festivals such as Glastonbury, The Great Escape and Leeds Festival, and reach millions of views on official music videos.
Laurent, avid records' digger, DJ and drummer since the early 2000s, joined Warner Music Group in 2016 after spending one year studying sound engineering in South London. He started out in the Artist and Label services division as an intern. With time he became so deeply interested in data, fan engagement and CRM that he eventually got promoted to CRM Manager. Laurent worked on fan engagement campaigns for Gorillaz, Ed Sheeran, Foals, Royal Blood, Dua Lipa and many more, helping various labels of the group reach audiences in the most tailored and creative ways.
Almost a decade later, filled with experiences from two different music worlds and unforgettable memories, we are proud to have launched Norma Music and keep working on shaping our model and services to cater the diversified and exciting Swiss music scene.

Norma's main service focuses on building structured Release Campaigns and executing them alongside the artist. In addition to this, we provide a wide range of extra services tailored to your current status and progress. Whether you are at your first or fifth release, we will build a proposition that suits your needs.
Norma's fee for building a Release Campaign starts at 1'800 CHF per EP or Album, and varies according to the complexity of the project and the number of singles. Any extra service added is tailored to your needs, so prices will vary. We will always send you a quote once we have a clear understanding of the work that needs to be done. Artists can also pay in smaller instalments. Keep in mind that our fees only cover our services, outsourced costs such as distributor fees, manufacturing, website hosting, mixing, mastering or video production are excluded from our prices.
All of the additional value that we bring you as a result of our collaboration is yours. Profits derived from digital, physical and merch sales, sync and live belong strictly to the artist. We do not keep any share of sales nor have any rights on the music/assets.
Yes, of course. You are fee to involve any external collaborators that you trust. If needed, we will coordinate tasks directly with them so you don’t have to worry about any logistical part of the process. The important part is that our works don't overlap.
Norma Music is not an online distributor and therefore this aspect needs to be taken on by the artist. You are free to choose the online distributor you wish to be affiliated with and set up your releases according to plan. Norma is solely responsible for quality checks and ensuring all metadata are correct. For this purpose, access to the distributor's platform will need to be granted to our team. Please note that Norma won't take any share of your music sales unless agreed separately.
We won't put you in debt and won't own any of your work, unlike traditional music labels, which advance money only to recoup it by exploiting the rights to your creative work. Norma will only ask for a transparent fee, and you will retain ownership of your works, creative control and any profits.
We exist to let you concentrate on music as much as possible, while we take over all the project management and strategic thinking that needs to be done to achieve your goals. Often artists are unaware of how much effort is required until they are overworked and behind schedule.
Yes of course, as long as our work doesn’t overlap and your label doesn’t have exclusive rights to the project you are submitting.
Definitely, connect with us! We’d be happy to get on a call and discuss further.
We are located in a remote area of northern Ticino. We are currently working on creating a space to better welcome everyone who wishes to visit us in the near future. In the meantime, we can meet online or travel to a preferred location in Switzerland.
